2002 'Moon' Sparkling Marsanne The first wine to be released under our 'Moon' label is something unique - a Sparkling Marsanne! Marsanne has been grown by the banks of the Goulburn River at Nagambie for over 100 years. It has traditionally been made into wonderfully long-lived table wines. We believe that this is the first time a Sparkling wine has been made from 100% Marsanne in Australia. It has been made according to traditional methods, fermented in bottle with champagne yeasts, and matured on yeast lees for nearly five years - long enough for the characteristic honeysuckle notes of maturing Marsanne to developr The wine is a bone dry style with crisp succulent flavours and excellent length. It is good as an aperitif, with seafood or with other delicately flavoured foods. Production: 260 dozen Mail order $ 35.00 per bottle / $200 per case of 6. |

2004 Chardonnay A fresh and lively Chardonnay with plenty of body and character. The grapes are grown on a terrace slope close to the river where the soil is mainly clay with a small amount of sand. Barrel fermentation in new and old french oak has produced a restrained lightly oaked style. This is a delicate yet rich wine with aromas of candied citron and drying hay. The palate has a firm mineral backbone with well balanced natural acidity, overlayed with lush honeyed saffron characters. The wine is drinking nicely now, and we expect that it will age well. Production: 150 cases. Mail order $ 27.00 bottle / $291 case. |

2004 Viognier A luscious, opulent wine of great power and extraordinary texture. This wine is made from fully ripe, late harvested Viognier fruit grown in sandy loam soil. It is crafted in a bold traditional style. It has an intense peach blossom bouquet, an opulent rich texture and great depth of flavour. The finish is long, with a lingering silky mouth feel. Whilst the wine is dry, it leaves a slightly sweet impression. Production: 100 cases. Mail order $ 28.00 bottle / $300 case |

2003 'Midnight' Shiraz A luscious restrained Shiraz with a long savoury finish. The wine is full of cedar, plum and dark fruit characters
with hints of licorice and black pepper. The texture is plush
and velvety, with some some earthy darker notes. A plateau of mouth-filling but fine tannins leads to a long savoury finish. It has been matured in new and old French
oak, which augments rather than overpowers the fine Shiraz fruit.
Production: 210 cases. Mail order $ 28.00 bottle / $ 300 case. |

1999 Cabernet Sauvignon A mellow and rounded Cabernet with a fine dusty tannin structure. This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on tough rocky ground The fruit flavour is rich, with an unusual strong black cherry character, typical of the fruit produced in this vineyard. The complex palate has subtle undertones of mace and clove, with hints of cedar. It has developed well in the bottle, and may continue to improve further, although we would reccommend drinking it now. Only a few cases remain. Production: 192 cases. Mail order $ 25.00 bottle / $270 case. |

2001 Cabernet Sauvignon A deep, concentrated and complex Cabernet with a fine dusty tannin structure. This wine is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on tough rocky ground. The flavours are considerably richer and more complex than the '99, due partly to the extra two years of vine age, and partly to a better season. The black cherry character is still prominent. together with the mace, clove and cedar. The wine has a firm structure with good acid, and a restrained influence from French oak. It is drinking well now, but will continue to improve in bottle for at least 5 to 10 years Production: 300 cases. Available in full and half bottles
Mail order $ 25.00 bottle / $270 case |

2001 Cabernet Pressings A lean and savoury Cabernet made from the pressings only. The flavour profile of Cabernet Sauvignon wine emerging from the press changes radically towards the end of the press cycle. Fruit intensity drops, and the wine becomes leaner, and more dominated by the tannins. Normally this wine is blended back with the 'free run' and 'light pressings', but in 2001 we decided to keep the final pressings separate. They were slowly matured in old oak hogsheads (contributing negligible oak character), and bottled early in 2003. The tannins are fine and gentle, not at all harsh or excessively astringent, with excellent palate length. This wine is a refreshing contrast to 'fruit and oak' driven Cabernets. It is ready to drink now. Production: only 63 cases. Mail order $ 20.00 bottle/ $215 case |
